  1. I have an .AVI movie. The movie is 1 hour 16 mins longs. When I convert it to DVD using TMPGEnc Plus 2.5, every thing seems fine.

But when I use TMPGEnc DVD Author to put chapters etc. into the movie, no sound can be heard.
The movie now becomes 2 hours 37 mins long, but after the 1hr 16mins the screen is just black.
When I select the clip it says that there is a video and audio file there, but when I burned it to DVD, I am unable to hear anything.

When converting I have even tried outputting the video and audio into separate files. One file is an .M2V file at 3.30GB and the other is MP2 file at 432MB. (At least I’m 99% sure it’s MP2)

Please could someone help me out……?

Did you extract the sound from the avi to wav, and then use that as the audio source when you encoded? You can do that with Virtualdub but i like to use Goldwave as it will handle most audio formats.

That is very symptomatic of VBR MP3 audio.

Can you download gspot, load the AVI and tell us what type of audio the file has ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
