    History:
I'm capturing a PAL tape, and converting to NTSC DVD..I've done this before.

I recently installed MMC9.1, but am doing all my capturing through Vdub..

When i playback the video. I get a short, green screen, followed by motions that repeats every 5 frames. I can't get proper playback, or encoding for that matter..
I tried capturing through the MMC software, and got a message that the broadcast signal will only be abled for viewing..I this what's causing the playback problems??

What's going on, and how do i fix it??
    Need help fast....
    thanx...

Alrighty, it looks like there's some copy protection..I dropped a home made PAL tape and captured, with no probs..I'll snoop around, but if anybody has any suggestions, please tell me otherwise...

    Thanx....

Yep, what you described is what I got if I tried to copy a MV protected tape on a AIW 9800. Green screen and all, then it just kinda jumps around from frame to frame.

Yeah, this is a "one off", and nobody's renting the units in my area...

I just wanted to confirm that my looping playback problem was in fact macrovision...

Besides the TBC not that I'm aware of. There's some other products out there. I heard the video clarifier mentioned before, doin't know what kind of results you'll get.

  7. Sounds like Copy Protection, I've never tried with a PAL system, but on NTSC it's the same with a Blue Screen. I've heard about TBC, but I'm not sure what it is.

    Yep, you guys were right

I bought a $40 video stabilizer and it worked fine....

Unfortunatel, i get this annoying, stable, semitransparent black line (about 8 pixels high) across the bottom screen..I'm thinking it's a faulty unit..
I'm taking an estimated guess that it isn't any Macrovision leftover..
