For those familar with this little proggy could you please try and help me out here. I have an Epson RX600 printer which uses the same cartridges as the R200, R300, and RX500 printers. This proggy supports these 3 printers but not mine but I thought it would work none the less because it uses the same cartridges. I am trying to freeze the ink levels to remain "full always" because I am using a continuous ink flow system and need for my ink levels to stay full at all times in order to not have to reset the chips every time the levels get too low. I have read all of the help advice and think I am going about trying to freeze the ink levels in the right way but just can't get this feature to work eventhough many of the other features of this proggy work fine on my RX600. Can anyone lend any advice or suggestions. I have sent the "test report" of my printer to the author of this proggy but doubt he will reply as others on this forum have reported doing this with no success. Thank you for your help and comments.
    Thank You,

  3. I guess you hit the wall...
TBH the best place of this question is over at the SSC's forum. Which i see you have done. With simular results. If the software isnt updated for your printer, there isnt much you can do. Though looking at one of the kits you can buy they stated that by opening and closing the top that holds the ink carts in place reset the chip on the carts again.... No idea if this works or not, but if it was so simple surely the chip resetter would never have made the market.

I read in another post with an epson printer similar to yours where the chips were self resetting so you dont have to rest the chips yourself,do a search and see if these chips are available.

Thanks guys for taking time to reply, I guess I will keep looking for a source to buy the chips. Opening and closing the top is not an option as you have to remove it when using a CFS system because of the tubes on top of the cartridges not leaving enough room to open and close the holder lid.

  6. Could that be the problem as the artical said that it need the lid down to set the chips. They supplied a piece of foam to press the switch down. Link is in one thread about your new printer set up.

    Here
Heres the bit form the artical....
Place the two foam blocks straight down into the holes located in front of the cartridges (2 extra are provided). The blocks must be inserted straight down to ensure that they press down on a small lever in the hole. Only insert the blocks as far as is needed to make the lights go out. If the lights were already on before you installed the CIS (old cartridges were empty), then the lights will not go out until the blocks are positioned AND you have hit the paper feed button. Inserting the blocks signals the printer that a cartridge is installed. The ink out lights should now be off since the switches have been activated. In the future, whenever the printer thinks it is out of ink, remove and then replace the blocks when the print head assembly is in the cartridge changing position. This will reset the ink counter without ever having to remove the cartridges.

iooi the instructions which came with my CFS kit said to remove the lid, no mention of a foam piece in the instructions for my kit, press what switch down, nothing in my instructions about a switch either, where did you read this? Can you guide me to the link where you are reading this? Thank you.

Those are not my instructions and do not apply to my printer, RX600 and R200 so nothing here would really help me, thanks for trying though.

iooi thank you for the links. Looks like the SAVEINK link only sells to distributors and INKREPUBLIC is way too high on price. All I really need now is a set of good quality auto reset chips which always read full and I will be set. Thanks again for all your help, you have been very nice and I really appreciate it.

Looks like the guy never sent you the always full chips that he promised, that sucks, I hope you left negative feedback for him. You should find a link to one of his auctions and post it so no one will buy from him.

Almost everywhere I have looked the always full chips are $15 each, pretty sure they have them for you R200. Try inksupply.com (MIS associates).
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

TVI, the chips were mailed from Taiwan on the 19th, hopefully they will be here by Friday. I don't want to be too quick on the gun with negative feedback just yet.

TVI by the way $15 is ridiculous for a chip, that's $90 plus shipping for my 6 cartridges, I only gave $60 plus $25 for my complete CIS system. The MIS guys are in a dream world I guess, leaves serious question marks with this consumer about prices on their other products.

That is if you actually get chips that work, and don't die prematurely. I haven't seen anyone that sells the allways full chips for less. I have seen reports that not all chips are equal, hopefully, yours will be OK.

Update - Received the new replacement chips for my CIS system yesterday, put them in last night and printed a couple pictures and am happy to report they work perfectly. Each time I power on/off the printer they reset to full just as they should. Only problem now I have to try and figure out is how to get rid of an "Epson nag screen" which automatically comes up every time I print something. It says "the cartridges you have installed are not Epson cartridges, do you want to continue printing?" I click yes and it prints fine, just a pain in the butt and would like to eliminate it if anyone could tell me how. Thanks guys.
    Thank You,
