I'm looking to buy an mp3 mixing software so I can do remixes of my favorite songs/artists. I have no idea about this type of software and was wondering what are some of the good ones/best? Price is not an issue..

Gold Wave gets it done. And the price is reasonable as well--shareware. Use it as much as you like, and pay for it when you want the 100 or so odd commands limit kicks in, and you have to relaunch it.

  3. I don't know anything about the consumer remix software available, but audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) can be used for almost anything audio related, and its free. I use it and toolame for removing noise from .mp2 files. It can open MP3 files and save as OGG or WAV, and with lame (free) it can save as MP3.
