  2. The Motherboard is going to draw DV voltage from the cases powersupply so subsquently as long as your case supports the motherboard power requirements, it SHOULD just 'plug and play' anywhere in the world.

    edit** -- same for CPU

As long as the psu supports dual voltage, the mb will work fine. You will still need the adapter for the line cord. Same applies to the monitor and peripherals.

I agree with tekkieman. It will work, however you need to buy adapters for the electrical cords since the countries overseas use a different power method.

  7. The computer will work anywhere in the world if....

You get the approriate AC plug adapter. They sell converter kits just about anywhere, especially airports.

    USA runs on 110-120VAC 60hz

The majority of the rest of the world runs on 215-230VAC 50hz.

Most power supplies in computers have a small switch (usually red) that says 110 or 220 in it. Change the switch accordingly to the correct setting for that country. If you have it set wrong and turn it on you'll fry everything instantaneously. POOF.... SMOKE..... THEN you cry..... Believe me I've done this before with $35,000 FM broadcast transmitters

Some motherboards also have this jumper setting. You'll have to look in the User guide or go the manufacturer website to know for sure. Best way to be sure, get a home AC converter, they're around $50US. Down side to them, there heavy, almost like a car battery.

The power supply is the only thing dependent on which country you are in. As long as that is capable of handling the voltages then all the components will be fine. There's no difference in the components themselves, however you may run into warranty issues if you're using a board not yet released in the country you're bringing it to.

How are you getting them back home with you, in your luggage?
