  1. Hi,

I have authored an svcd file into mpeg2 for burning to a dvd
used nero vision to add chapters etc etc. Never had any problems before.

Problem starts when i try to burn the disc it will get so far then just crash?
I have tried using Nero & Clone cd but it still crashes.

Is my burner gubbed or is it the file i made? When i restart the pc and eject the dvd it plays up until the point the program crashed.

Really annoying as this is the only time i have had problems.

    Any help would be great.

i'd never suggest authoring SVCD files to DVD, i would re-encode to DVD spec, either full D1 (720x480) or half D1(352x480).

DVD authoring software is less likely to crash when actually using DVD compliant files....

To paraphrase the little kid in "Kindergarten Cop" who said to Arnold Schwartzeneggar, "Maybe it's a tumor":

    Maybe it's your media.

what media -were- you using and what media -are- you using now? DVDinfopro will give you a media ID code.

  6. Does it crashes only in this particular case?, or you're experiencing more crashes?.
I once tried to have Nero & Clone CD on my computer, but they seem to NOT like each other.... had to reinstall windows!.

Uninstalled Nero and reinstalled and it did not work. Took
Nero off and have installed Roxio to see if that works if not may have to
