  2. 1. What's the different between dvd-r and dvd+r?

    2. Which one is better? This question depends on who you ask, its like asking who are you gonna vote for, Kerry or Bush.

    3. Which one can my dvd player(about 2 years old) can play? Check the DVD players list on the left, type in your dvd player model and a list of all the media and formats(- or +) will pop up.

    4. What about dvd-rw and dvd+rw? From what i have seen the +rw

    5. Which is the more common one and which do you guys recommend? the - has been around longer so you'll usually find cheaper prices on them compared to the +, but its almost the same crap to me.

Thanks. I'm new to dvd...(Cehck out the section on the left, it has all you need to know about dvd players, media etc.)

outdated info on that page: DVD+R can now be bitset on many dual drive. DL is now available, but the results are not that great, and software support is lacking.

  4. Mods: I was wondering, since this question comes up a lot is it possible to stickie an answer? But it might not be worth it, since it seems no one reads stickies.
