  1. Good Deal but it ends today so you have to hurry up.

They were all out of -R's at my local store, so I bought some +'s so I can be able to exchange them tomorrow for the Special price.

Yeah, I talked about this a few days back. Was a good deal. Seems to be in-store, not advertised.

    TDK or some other brand?

Personally I wouldn't buy TDK DVD-R discs unless they are the TDK made discs. The package should say MADE IN JAPAN if it is the TDK made discs.

  6. I bought the 25pk -r's from staples and it says made in taiwan but the media id code is TTG01 which I thought was one of the top media out there along with maxell and taiyo yuden. Please correct me if Im wrong. I burned 5 so far with my plextor and have had no problems.

They have not made media in Japan for at elast 2 years now. WHere you been?

They're one of the exceptions of the Taiwan rule, and their newest media is supposedly manufactured in a CMC plant (though probably using the same TDK equipment). CMC is not great, while MCC and TDK made there is great. Has got to be a reason!

  9. FYI: I read that costco on July 26 w/ a coupon is going to have a buy one 25 pack TDK 25 pack for $25 and get one free. I believe it's the 4x media too.

  10. Best Buy has the TDK 4x DVD+R 25 packs going for $19.99 as well. My assumption is that they may be clearing them out for the 8x ones. The 4x and 8x have the same product number, but the sku's are different. The 8x ones were still $34.99.
