Using DVDx v1.6 to rip "wildthings" using all default settings with the exception of a 96MB RAM 'dvd saver' I get the following warning at the end of the process.
"Warning VBV delay overflows = 69"
I can't find anywhere on the DVDx site that references VBV, overflow, or errors in general.
PC SETUP
AMD Athalon 1.4Ghz
ASUS A7M266 motherboard
256MB SDRAM
ASUS GeForce MX 32MB AGP
Pioneer DVD-116 (IDE2 master)
Plextor 16/10/40A (IDE2 slave)
40GB IBM GXP60 7200rpm IDE HD (IDE1 master)
Win2000 SP2 (includes all current patches, updates, and other MS software such as DirectX8, IE6, etc.)
ASUS DVD Player 2000 (PowerDVD)
DVDx 1.6
The machine is really a barebones Win2k installation with the exception of downloading/installing all of the Win2k updates from Windows Update and installing ASUS DVD 2000.
Comments: DVDx 1.6 is terribly easy to use and appears to create fairly high quality MPG files. My only concern is my fairly high-end PC is reporting fairly slow fps in DVDx during the encoding process of approx 5-6fps. Unsure if that number is the fps in the resulting mpg file or how fast DVDx is reading the DVD source.
