I dumped a movie from video tape and used Cuttremaran to edit out the commercials (it did a good job). Then, I encoded with TmpGenc 2.5 xx to 352X480 (1/2 DVD) specs. When I went to burn, using TmpGenc DVD Author, I got the following results:

The video sequence header is incorrect.

The video sequence header is incorrect.
A video sequence header is necessary for every GOP in a standard DVD
    and:

You can also set the "sequence header output interval" manually, in "MPEG Settings", "GOP structure".

How can I get this to work as it says no headers. I thought they would be placed in as I encoded? I set the sequence header interval to 18, but still no soap!

Open tmpgenc and use file/mpg tools/merge and cut and add the mpeg and choose a name and location to save and run.

  4. What i think his problem is is that he has converted in tmpgenc and is now trying to burn in TDA without creating dvd structured files - hence the problem

I see,i reread that and saw he was trying to burn the encoded files instead of authoring,no wonder for the error.

I got the answer by searching this forum:

In TMPGenc, open the GOP tab and change from 0 to 1 the "output interval of sequence header". That solved the problem.

That caused your problem, thought you were trying to fix a mpeg file. That setting only gets screwed up if you load up any file and not use any template to start with.
