Searching froogle for miniDV tapes, I came across:
http://www.tapesuperstore.com/pama5.html
"Panasonic MiniDV MQ Master tape, 276 minute length. Panasonic introduces a line-up of DV tape designed for professional usage. Available in 63, 83, 96, 124, 186 and 276 minute lengths. Just like Sony Mini DV. Works in all Panasonic, Sony, Canon, and JVC MiniDV Cameras! After 25 years of extensive research, Panasonic has developed a new evaporation technology named S-AME(Super Advanced Metal Evaporation). With the new process, it is now possible to improve magnetic density over 400%."
This can't be true, can it? 276 minute mini DV tapes that record DV AVI at 25mbps?

This has to be in a large DVcam sized cassette, and then only at the LP speed.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
