  1. Hi
I Just got a dvd burner and I've been hearing people talking about compressing a dvd. Are u suppose to compress a dvd if the movies is more than 4gb. I have some dvd movies and i ripped them using dvd shrink. Most of the movie are well be low 4gb. Would i have to compress the movie or can i leave them like that.

You don't need to compress a video unless it won't fit on a DVD. DVD recordable size is about 4.3 GB. Most DVDs I back up are much bigger and they need to be shrunk or extras removed to fit on a recordable DVD.
