Hello:
I want a new program to use. My DVD X Copy doesn't work anymore (have no clue why, I bought legit version last year)
I do not have much success with dvd shrink, and when I use dvd decrypter, it really only works for me when the disc is under 4.7 gb
Any advice as to what new programs I should check out? I would like my movies to have a menu and scene selection option at the beginning, and I haven't been getting that recently
Thanks so much for any help/advice/suggestions

I'm surprised that not one of those is working for you. If you tell me what sort of trouble you've been having with DVDShrink, maybe I can help you out. We should be able to work the problem through.

Basically..
Dvd Shrink used to work like this for me (and i woul dlove if it did again)
I would put the DVD in, and I would set it at no compression, and would re-author it
then it would go through the first process, copying the dvd to the computer, and would ask for me to insert a blank disc after it had done that part, i would put the disc in, and boom, it would be the first part of the movie, burnt to the disc
for some reason it wont do that anymore -
DVD Shrink uses Nero to burn. You haven't unistalled a version of Nero have you? Or perhaps you were using a trial version fo nero that has expired?

that must be it
i am downloading a version of nero now
what should i do to try if things have changed? -
Instead of using Nero or other commercial burning programs to make the disc, use DVDShrink to create an ISO disc image and then burn the image using DVDDecrypter. DVDDecrypter is free, and pretty much eliminates any problem one might have with unlocking the content of the disc.

Look at the screenshot in this thread https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=227812&highlight=
when DVD Shrink has made the ISO start DVD Decrypter and select mode>ISO>write, choose the ISO that DVD Shrink has created and burn it. -

I like my method, because I can mount the ISO image using DAEMON tools as a drive, then view the movie using WinDVD (5 or 6). My PCs have TV out (one uses an ATI AIW 8500DV, another the Matrox P750), and I get a very nice picture, great audio, and good control. Also have the ATI Remote Wonder, so I can control the PCs even if they are not in line of site.
