    i recently installed a new video card and upgraded to win Xp. back when i wasing w2k, i used to be able to play .avi DV files in WMP and other players. now when i do, it plays choppy. all my other video files play fine.

    any suggestions guys?

    Install the latest version of DirectX 'cause it has some fixes on the direct show DV codec (AVI DV type 1). For VFW support install Panasonic DV codec (AVI DV type 2).
