I'm on XP with NFTS partitions. I've captured a long VHS-scene uncompressed. The scene is automatically splitted in 2 AVI-files which supposed to one. Is there a way to avoid this? Or i'll will have to compose,edit the 2 files to one scene.

Check the capture options on your software. It's probably set to split the video after so many GB's.
