I just bought a 40g hard drive for capturing and virtual dub reports it as 11g free and its empty, but my 20g has 17 free and it reports it correctly. does anybody have any ideas?

What does Windows Explorer report your drive size as being? 40 Gigs?
Also, another thought... perhaps there's something you have set up with VirtualDub that will only allow that drive to capture up to 11 Gigs of video, thus VirtualDub only sees the drive as having 11 Gigs left. I don't know if this is possible, just something for you to try and play around with. -
explorer reports it as 38 or some shit like that and virtual dub lies and says 11. its probably somee setting in there i messed with. you never learn until you make a mistake right?
