  1. Hi everyone,i tried to convert some .avi files to .mpg/mpeg using tmpgenc but an error comes up saying the file can not open or is unsupported.This happens with every .avi file i have,it's never done this before whats going on?

    In environmental settings, make sure DIRECTSHOW is on top.

  3. thanks for the reply,i went to environ settings,clicked under VFAPI plug in tab and saw that the direct show multimedia file reader was clicked but had a -1 in the prority column.Is this wrong?

  4. i forgot to mention,i can apparently encode the audio source,but not the video source

  5. It's okay i did what you said and it works thanks!!!!,just one question how will this affect other .avi files that did not need an environ setting change,should i change direct show back to a lower prority?

  6. oh wait new problem!!,about 3 mins in an error appears in tmpgenc saying "error in scan line (180)" and then the program stops.
