  1. I recently bought this player and have been happy with its performance. It plays everything from VCD to Divx, mp3, mpeg, avi etc except for VCDs created with Intervideo DVD copy software.
I use IV copy software to make VCD files from DVDs and then create VCD using Nero. When I playback those VCDs , this player refuses to play. I see garbage on the screen and the player skips to next chapter and does all sorts of non-sense. If I playback the same VCD using my old Pioneer DVD player, it plays perfectly alright. I wonder if anyone has faced this problem. If I create VCDs using tmpgenc, it plays fine. I dont know what the reason is. Pls help. I really like Intervideo software for its ease of use. When I backup music DVDs, it nicely creates individual songs into separate files. Then I can go and select the song I want for VCD.
Thanks in advance for any help.

If you haven't tried this yet, disable PBC and see if that helps any.

  3. Hi,
    Thanks for your response.
But even if I switch off PBC it still doesnt work.
Another thing I noticed is that if I make a data disk with just the mpg video files, it plays fine.

  4. I had the same problem with one disk a couple of weeks ago. I had blamed the media as it played on my other DVD players. I think it was recorded using WinDVR (Intervideo). I've heard about problems with intervideo products before but this was the first problem I have encountered.
