  2. By this you mean to convert your MPG to DV without loosing quality... Well this is going to depend on the bitrate you use.... More Bitrate = Better quality, but more storage space needed...

    DV is fixed bitrate -- there is not a lot of choice there ..


    install the main concept or panasonic Dv codec

    install virtualdubMOD

    open mpeg in virtualdubMOD and save it out as a dv file

    im trying to do editing and i know mpg is not good for editing. i have main concept

    hit control C and pick the main concept Dv codec

    hit F7 and save avi ..

    it will be a dv file ...

    cannot start compression
    the source image format is not acceptable
    error code -2

    then your source files are not standard DV format --- which must be 25 or 29.97 fps interlaced (or with pulldown) and standard DV format size ..

    you will have to make some sort of adjustment .. also make sure you pick full proccessing mode

  9. VirtualDubMod still not working dv codoec, i think mpg is 29.97 fps
    i think im going to use flaskmpeg with huffyuv or picvideo mjpeg to converto avi
    should i use 640 *480 resolution?
    or 720 * 480
    the orginal source is 704 * 480
    and final will be 720 * 480
