I like warFTP for an FTP server.

How big is your pipe to the internet? T-1? T-3? Lets say you have a T3 pipe to the net. Your standard 10/100 or 1000 NIC can fill that pipe no sweat...Where dual NICs come in handy is for fall over protection and for backoffice apps

warftp isnt secure, but from what I gather it may be a pain to go that route anyway.

my server is just running through my cable internet (384k upload) so Dual NICS isnt going to do anything but provide fault tolerance, which really isnt necessary, I only use the server for transferring of files from work and b/w friends.

My warFTP server was never hack in the 4 years I had it up and running...I had no idea how to setup a non Microsoft server when I read the setup guide and set it up. To be honest I don't know of any FTP server that are 100% secure. That's why you rely on NTFS file/folder permission also

  5. I've been running bulletproof for the past few months and haven't had any troubles. I haven't tried any others out and could use feedback on some other options and how they compare.

If you want something secure you probably shouldn't use FTP at all. HTTPS is generally a better option.
