I bought Norton Internet Security from eBay. It came in a cardboard case with product code and is an original copy.
I've now received an e-mail from the seller asking me to provide the product key as he says he is having problems with his supplier.
Is this Kosher or am I being a bit paranoid ?
Any help much appreciated
Dave

If it was me I would tell him that is his problem and not yours. If he needed it for some reason he should be keeping better records. I wouldnt be sending my cd keys around.

Sounds like you have reason to be paranoid. The only ones that should need your product key is Norton.

I agree with the above, tell the bastard to **** off
...but first check his feedback, have there been problems like this in the past ?, high feedback ?, bulk seller ? -
Sounds like he sold you software he has already registered and is still using. You should ask for a full refund and send it back to him. You don't want to be using someone else's registered software.

Thanks for the replies
He has 98.6% feedback so not bad. I don't mind helping somebody out if there is a legitimate reason but I think I'll just never bother responding to his e-mail and keep my product code to myself
