    Hello,
    I have an VP-7040 and am trying to transfer my NTSC 3/4" to DVD, and when I play them using the NTSC setting on this unit I notice that the footage has no color (even though I know there IS color on the footage).

    I've just read that my Sony Umatic player plays NTSC, however its NTSC 4.43. Would this artifact be because of this?

    Please let me know as I may be purchasing another Umatic unit.

    You may want to plug the 3/4 into a VCR or switcher (if you have one).
