    Well i got this xvid from a buddy of mine and when i try to convert it to a .mpeg using tmpgenc the video screen just stays blank while the audio keeps on converting. Now i tryed opening it in avicodec and it says the video is supported and i can watch it with minimal problems using media player so my question is what do i need to get/do to get the video stream to work? any info would be great ppl THANKS!

    Sounds like you need to increase the priority of the Direct Show Multimedia file reader. check this out: https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc
