    Are you using DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, or DVD+RW media?

My PS2 will not play DVD+R, DVD-RW, nor DVD+RW media. But will play DVD-R and DVD+R with DVD-ROM booktype.

Can't say if Nero works for PS2 or not, I use either Primo DVD, or DVD Decrypter to burn my images. I have used TMPG to author and burn, which worked fine on my PS2s.

    That's a puzzle.

I also do have problems with projects that use MPEG1 video, but use MPEG2 Menus.

Older PS2s, the first 2 versions, are very picky about which media you use, the newer PS2s have better lasers, and better compatibility. My PS2 does play Maxell and Taiyo Yuden media fine, but has problems with some other brands.

I'd try better/different media, or, since you say they work on other dvd players, don't worry about it
