  1. i downloaded a svcd but have some problems with it. its bitrate is 6mbit? my standalone cannot handle that? how would i ?reencod? the file to a lower bitrate. i tryed tmpeg but it would crash loading the file. so i reencoded it with flaskMPEG but the file came out to be like 1gb.

if anyone could point me in the right direction, that would be great

  3. Try opening the file in Virtualdub Mpeg2 and frameserve to Tmpgenc with template as CBR / Average Bitrate totalling a VCD file (650 Mb) or so. Please note the necessary resolution of a frame (352 x 288 for PAL), you may have to resize/cut the picture.

  4. Sorry! I thought you wanted it in VCD format. You may do the same procedure but encode it in Tmpgenc with mpeg2 with the required bitrate which your player can handle!
