ok here's the problem. I have a tv series in avi that is at 25 fps (PAL) and I can use virtual dub to convert it to 29.97 which is standard. So i convert the file, and when it is done it turns out to be like 10 gigs!!! Is there any way I can avoid making such a big file, without having to convert every single episode to mpeg and using tmpgenc?
Thanks,
Tim

Try selecting an encoder (compressor) within virtualdub, it looks to me as if you are saving it to uncompressed avi.
Divx or xvid are popular for this kind of thing.
