Thin strip at the bottom

Hello All!

I guess this might have been already answered here, but here it goes.

Does anybody know why appears a thin strip at the bottom of the captured image, that has nothing to do with the video?

How can I remove it?

I think I know what you're talking about. I have a hauppauge wintv pvr250 card and I occasionally get the same thing. When I capture at dvd mode I sometimes get a small black line on the left and/or bottom of the screen.

I wouldn't worry about this. When I author it to dvd and burn it the lines are gone and converted to full screen. Your only problem may be if you intend only to watch it on your computer. You may want to convert it to divx or some other format to resize (and save space ). I hope this helps.

P.S. This may be some sort of "ghosting" when recording from a rca video cable (the old standard yellow one). When I record from a svideo input from a dvd player I don't get this disturbance.

Overscan, it's on nearly any video, tv or whatever. I'ts not visible on a tv because it's off the viewable area of the TV. Unless your using your video for the computer forget about it. Media studio pro will crop it as will other editing software or just cover up with a black overlay to make it look neat.
