Iam trying to watch a Xvid movie but i can't get any sound to play on windows media player 9 and when i open it in virtualDub i get an error saying.
no audio compressor could be found to compress the source audio format.
When i take the movie into Gspot it says i should be able to play the audio ok as i have AC3Filter & Nero digital audio decoder installed.
All my other Xvid,Divx and mpg movies play fine.
Thanks alot for any help

Audio COMPRESSOR (not De-compressor)?
Anyway, my guess is the avi is has either Ogg Vorbis (OGM) sound or is a Matroska file.
Download VirtualdubMod (its what its for!!) and the OGM filter or codec.
Me thinks VLC can play OG/mkv files 'as is'. -
Thanks monzie i will give it a try should i uninstall the origional virtualdub and vobsub before installing this?
