  1. Im wanting to create 'custom frames' to surround a still or motion thumbnail on my menu's. The frame function in the 'create menus' toolbar just draws a coloured box around. I would like to create some 'frame types' which look like interesting picture frames. Ex. would be in the menus used in the Harry Potter movies.
In the Buttons section of the Help book (I broke down and printed out the entire thing so I'd have a 'readable' reference) it sounds like one could create custom by creating a "png" file - but I'm not sure about this one.

Does anyone know if and/or how one could create custom frames? Could it be done in Photoshop or possible Adobe Illustrator - and if so would it be 'resizeable'?

    Any ideas anyone.

    Feedback would be greatly appreciated

sure - create the frame in whatever image editor you like. make the picture area of the frame transparent. export as a .png image.

import it as an asset in DVD Lab, and place it on your background. then move the picture that you want "framed", and drop it on top of the frame. resize it so it's just slightly larger than the picture frame.

then use the "send to back" command to move the picture on a layer below the frame - you should see the picture properly framed, showing through the transparent area.

I hope this makes sense - if not, let me know and I'll see if I can post some screenshots later.
