  1. If I want to burn a DVD using Nero 6.3 I select DVD-Video & Select new. This burns a DVD which auto runs when I put it into my Yamada 6100. If I burn DIVX .avi files then I use DVD-ROM(ISO) which enables selection of any of the DIVX files by means of the 6100 built in Menu. However, in Nero If I select "create a DVD" & Copy a new directory of DIVX files to the compilation, (Which it lets me do!),then they are all readable on my PC, ie. I can watch the DVD or select the Divx files by double clicking on them. If I put the DVD into my Yamada 6100 then the DVD autoplays & I am unable to select any of the files in the DIVX folder. Is there another way to create a mixed CD so that all files are available when using my 6100?
The Yamada 6100 can read / decode DIVX & Xvid Format!

  2. You have an extremely unusual situation -- the player is likely programmed to check for DVD-Video content first, and then start playing it if it exists -- it likely never gets to the part where it finds DIVX files.

The answer is probably no, you can't do anything about it.

I take it the Divx files are different from the DVD-Video content? Could you just encode and author the divx content to DVD -Video?

No it doesn't. That's for finding DIVX on a data disc.

  5. No I meant that it defeats the point of having DIVX capability if you re-encode the DIVX files to MPEG2 DVD, NOT that it defeats the capability of playing DIVX files!
