Just a quick one this.
Is it possible to grab just a minute or so scene from a Dvd and save it
as say an Mpeg or Avi ?.
I've had a look through various topics without success but i'm not really
sure of the terminoligy I should be using !!

You could use Chopper XP which cuts a VOB directly and outputs a VOB. If you want it as MPEG just demux your new VOB with VOBEdit or VOBrator or many other free programs.
