never got their website to work, yes using ie6 updated

I am using Power Producer Gold, which I am finding is great when it works, great result rather than capturing to avi, then tmpgenc to mpeg2 etc etc.

I was trying to make sure that nothing I had loaded was causing PP to crash, getting the following message:-

the cyberlink techie told me the following:-
to ensure MS Messanger was disabled and then do the following:-

(a) Start --> Programs --> Cyberlink Power Producer (uninstall it)
(b) Start --> Run (keyin "regedit") --> HKEY_Current_User --> Software --> Cyberlink --> Power Producer --> delete the folder.
(c) Start --> Run (keyin "regedit") --> HKEY_Local_Machine --> Software --> Cyberlink --> Power Producer -> delete the folder.
(d) Re-install Power Producer

But, I was wondering if DVD region killer that I was using was a problem with PP, thats why I was trying the firmware route, sorry such a long story.

My Burner is LG 4082B and am using LG firmware 2.06, also whats the best burnign software, did use the one with TMPg author fine, but someone said it was flaky, tried Nero and seems fine, noyl thing about Nero is , it takes too much control of your computer.

Thanks for all your help, I am currently following the Cyberlink techies advice, as above and reinstalling PP Gold, see where it gets me.
