Got all the way down (about 50yds). My wireless network is working fine, it's the desktop that doesn't work as it should, the bloody thing requires that I open internet explorer twice before it'll access a page (if I open just one, it just sits there waiting to receive data until I open internet explorer again then it works fine) eDonkey now takes an age to connect but bit torrent seems to be OK and I can't get Direct Connect to work at all.Originally Posted by flaninacupboard

hmm, odd. boot both machines, and check their IP's (double click your network icon, and look in the support tab) they really want to be the same except the digits after the last .
then use ipconfig to ping the other machine, should get a response (depending on your firewall config [and really you want the inbuilt XP firewall off])
Also, do you have and files/folders set to be shared on the network? -
