  1. OK...I've downloaded countless dvd's from the net and with a few exceptions have had no problems burning them using InterVideo DVD Copy. The exceptions seem to be certain dvd's that download as VOB files as opposed to image files. I have another burning program as well, Roxio Easy DVD Copy, that does'nt even seem to recognize the files as valid and will not attempt to burn them. When I do burn them using InterVideo, the burn time is unusually longer than normal and once I play them in my stand alone DVD player, only the menus work. Again this is only the exception, as many dvd's that I download in VOB files burn and play fine...however it is a frustrating problem that I've not been able to correct by checking forums such as this....Anyone else run into this problem?.....Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

well that was a lot of help wasnt it???????

when i burn downloaded dvds (vobs) i usually use a tool called IMGTOOLBURN it will turn the vobs into an image file to burn. also try using nero burning rom and also try using dvd shrink as it will also open the vob files and then with the latest version you can export straight to an iso file to burn also..

i hope this helps UNLIKE the above post.

Maybe steveryan didn't want to help since the poster and yourself was talking about warez which is illegal here.

Warez includes downloaded copyrighted movies, movies that are not yet released on VHS/DVD and copying rented movies.

thank you for pointing that out. but downloading dvds/vob files does NOT automaticly mean it is warez!!!! i don't know about the guy that posted the topis but i have downloaded a lot of home made dvds from people NOT warez / pirate dvds.

although most downloads seem to be warez these days it does not mean all downloads are.

    cheers
