  1. what it the title of your confirmation email? Myne says: Office Depot Email Notification

and when I check the prder status it says ready for delivery 7/13 and the order status has changed from ready to fill to ready to load. Does that mean that my order went through? I ordered it this moring at about 1 AM central time

  2. madmoose,

My confirmation e-mail has the same title. My order is showing "In the Warehouse" so, apparently, it has already been filled. Again, apparently, your order has been filled also and you're one stage further along.

Looks like it's (1) Waiting to fill, (2) In the warehouse, (3) Ready to be loaded, (4) On the truck, (5) Delivered.

well, i just got off the phone with customer service at OD. the cd-r's can only be delivered and i need to pick up this order. so, i ordered 2 maxell DVD-R@39.99-buy one get one free, one 3 piece luggage set, and one canon ink cartridge, my order came to $51.05 and is ready for pick up. still a good deal. i did not need the cd-rs anyway.

OD fucked me, wasted my time, and this luggage is no where to be found. i realize that you can't get something for nothing, but, the deal was spend $50--get a 3 piece luggage set---OD, best buy, the all suck!!!!!

Sure it is. They're no 100% equal, but 98-99% the same for sure.

Myne just changed from ready to load to in the ware house. It looks like we're in the same boat, tag. Myne is scheduled for delivery 7/13

I got one of those today. MXL is great, but don't need 50 right now. Really don't even need 25, but better more than not enough.
I'm confused because I thought most TDK media was Ritek G04 or that other crap brand MCC or MMC or whatever that everyone bitches about.

So if it is TTG01 the package should say MADE IN JAPAN right?

    P.S.
I'm low on money so $19 for a 25 pack sounds nice right now!

  10. Stopped by Office Depot last night ... .picked up two of the 25 pack... yellow topped Maxell TYG01 media. (Sweet)

Interesting ... on check out there were two cakes of the 25pk Maxell's, some luggage, and a 100 pack of CD-R's sitting on the shelf behind the counter... I inquired if they were for pick up... lady said yes and before I could get another word out she said that the online pricing was wrong.... but the poor bastard heading in to the store after me was in for a battle. Maybe online purchases, less human interaction, may work ok.

  11. Subtotal $183.84
    Delivery Charge $0.00
    Coupon $-126.90
    Estimated Taxes $3.70
    Total $60.64

What did I do wrong? I'm not getting the 21 dollars you are getting.
I had to get 3 cd spindles or it won't except it.
I had to put down 2 dvd-r spindles or it won't except it.

    so 3 50 packs of cd-r
    2 25 packs of dvd-r
plus 3 pieces of luggage for 60 dollars
... did other people get all that for 21 dollars?

it looks like 39.99 dollars for the 50 dvd-r
    17.99 dollars for 150 cd-r.
    4 dollars tax.

You are doing nothing wrong. The "deal" some got was because the Office Depot online ordering system let them order 1 CD spindle only before to get the killer pricing listed earlier in this thread.

    It has been fixed now.

You didn't. Someone at OD obviously screwed up when they entered the coupon code. They linked the coupon code to the CDRs but forgot to enter the quantity break. It now appears as if they've corrected that blunder.

    Here's my invoice:

I'm low on cash here too, and don't need a lot. So 25 for $19 was perfect.

Don't get CMC confused with MCC. MCC = Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (also known as MKM/Mitsubishi Kagaku Media). CMC Magnetics is a different company entirely.

I done this deal 3 times already. I was the orig poster in fat wallet.
The deal with the luggage was a basardized version of mine, which basically was the 3 cd pack and 2 dvd pack, but instead of adding 3 cd's , u only add one cd pack. all together its about $24.00. I picked twice in store and once delivered today and another due to be delivered tomorrow but Im not counting on that one as everyones seems to be geting canx.

Twas a good day Sunday :P

well, i have some interesting news. i called OD back, and after another 30 minutes, an order was placed for two dvd-r spindles, one canon ink cartridge, and one three piece luggage set. i called the store to make sure everything was there and they said yes, for a total of $51.05. when i got there, there was no three piece luggage set. i was about to loose it with the manager. before he let me get a word in, he offered me a much better four piece luggage set. the clerk then says "please aign here", i did, i then left. what the clerk didn't see was that i placed this order to pick up at the local store and pay by check---THEY NEVER ASKED FOR ANY CHECK!!!!! alls well that ends well!!!!

  24. got mine also! just one order... oh well. Office Depot really deserves this! They are horrid, they screwed me over on an Epson R200 last month, after I wasted 2 hours on the phone with them. And the the supervisor just hung up one me when I asked how it could happen...long story.

I ordered the 2 for 1 Maxell dvd-r deal from OD. My order went without a hitch. I received the two cakes of yellow top Maxells the next day with free shipping. The shrink wrapper said "Made In Japan."

Dvdinfopro read the first disk of each cake as MXL RG02. I live in the NYC area, so I guess you'll either get TYs or MXLs depending on where you live.

    On another note...

Stay away from the TDK dvd-r 4X from Costco or anywhere else. I bought a cake of 25 of these not realizing that they were TTGs (which I believe are manufactured by CMC) and not Riteks. I used at least 50 of the TDK dvd-r 2x which are Ritek G04s. Not a coaster in the bunch. But 1 in 4 of the TDK dvd-r 4xs produced coasters. BTW I have a Pioneer 107D burner.

I can't speak about the TDK dvd+r disks because I never used them.

Now I'm confused (again). I was under the impression that disks manufactured by CMC have a CMC media ID and the media ID "TTGxx" indicates the disks are made by TDK. Can someone clarify this?

  27. bingolong,

Thanks for the link. I think the DVD Media section (under "LISTS") needs to be updated to reflect this information.
