Wmv to Avi or Mpeg !?!?!

Hello !

My situation now is :

I've 1 Wmv file, but without subtitels, then now i want to add subtitel to them, tempolary sub to my Wmv file .

BUT

With virtual dub , and virtual dub mod, it dont let me edit wmv because wmv is the same with asf file, then msoffice dont allow them to edit .... the virtual dub said that !

Second , i tried with tmpenc plus, try to convert them mpeg file, and i can use virtual dub to rip off mpeg file to avi with subtitel !!!

BUT

Tmpenc always report error when convert at 2-5% !!! with every wmv i put in tmpenc ! and i think something is error with tmpenc but not my wmv file . because they are really fine when watching with many program like windows media, jet audio !


And now, my question is how can i convert Wmv to avi or Mpeg file fast and complete !!!

If there is no corruption or other error in the wmv file, Tmpgenc should be able to convert to MPEG without a problem.

Try to use Tmpgenc, but in another way. Select the input file as usual, but from the menu, select File --> Output To File --> AVI. You may be more sucesful with this.

If this fails as well, try ASF Tools. Some WMV files need re-indexing (I guess they don't have key frames at all). ASFTools can do that.
