  1. I got some xvid and divx files and I want to burn them to a DVD. Im using Ulead MovieFactory 3. So I load them up in UMF3 and it says the files are too big to burn. I know you can convert MPEG-2 audio to DVD audio with TMPEG and it lowers the size considerably, but is there a way to do that with a divx and xivd file? I tried converting one of the files to svcd last night, but after about 8-12 hours, only 43 minutes were converted, and I dont even think the sound was converted either. I dont want to convert it to VCD cause its gonna lose alot of quality points. So can I convert the audio only so the file size isnt so huge? Thanks.

always convert the audio to wav and use it as source if you are using tmpgenc and divx/xvid sources. you can convert the audio directly to mp2 or ac3 with ffmpeggui or convert to wav with virtualdub.

I found I don't have any a/v sync issues once I'd set up TMPgenc to use SCMpx encoder ( http://www.din.or.jp/~ch3/index_e.html ) to do the audio conversion. It creates a temp wav automatically before encoding, it's very fast and the quality is very good too.

no shit either, just a couple of options when you start, like PAL or NTSC,frame rate, and where its going to be saved, and thats it.
