  1. Hello

I have a problem and I hope someone could help me.

I have two XviD avi files and want to merge them to one. For these two avis I have also two subtitles and logically I also want to merge them to one. After that I want to create a DVD with selectable subtitles.

How could I do this? Which program(s) do I need?

  2. For the subtitles, use Subtitle Workshop or something similar to merge the files. Here are all the tools:

    https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=24#24

For merging the video, you could try something like FileMerger, or the following:

    - Open the first section in VirtualDub
    - Select "Append AVI Segment" from File
    - Open your second file
    - Select "Direct Stream Copy" in both Audio and Video menus
    - Go to File --> Save as AVI

That should output both files as one.

I don't know what authoring tool you are using, so I can't tell you how to make your selectable subtitles. You should be able to find a guide for it yourself.

    Best of luck,

    Cobra

  3. Thanks for your fast help!

I use Tmpgenc Author. I know that it is possible to make selectable subtitles with DVD2SVCD. But there I can only create fixed chapters (e.g. every 120 seconds). Or do you know how I can use another Author program in DVD2SVCD?

    Thanks in advance!

    there is one problem
and thats the time when the line is shown is double

i mean the time from subtitle file 1 is still there
but so is the time from subtitle file 2

something like that cant just be changed
