  1. Hi!

Sorry if I bypassed any information regarding this, I just could not find it.
Does anyone know how to convert Real Video format (.RAM) to .mpg?

    Thanks

Look to the left. 'Convert', RM to MPG or VCD, etc. Check out EO Video.

I have just been through the same problem and found only TWO successful methods:

    1) Yep like Redwudz says, EO Video - BUT this will cost if you want to use it past the 30 day trial...

    2) Can you play the Real Video format in Media Player? (If not install the correct codecs)... If yes, use AVISynth to frame serve it to your usual conversion program that would normally not accept it, such as VirualDub!
Bonus - this method is FREE!

    Work you bloody thing....

If you install real alternative-avisynth 2.5.4 will load both video and audio for you and you can frameserve straight to TMPGEnc or the Main Concept encoder.
However, this works only with Real Video 9 and 10.
For older vids (normally the ram extension indicates an older vid)-Real7ime Converter(free!!) works well-provided you have either real alternative or Real One Player and earlier!!-Does not work with latest Real Player.
Be sure to choose compression-none for audio-video part works with Huff,PICVideo,vp6-codecs(tested).
It needs I420 driver installed. If you get error saying-no decompressor found. Look for the Intel I263 codec on Google for your OS and install. The I420 is automatically installed. It will work after that.
