I recently built my grandson a computer for playing his games because I don't like games on my computer (don't play them, don't like to waste the space).
His recent favorite is "Enter the Matrix". He is seven years old. Today I noticed the 'Play' disk was really in bad shape (severe scratches, food particles, etc). I decided to make a copy while it's still readable. However, the copy doesn't work. The computer recognizes it but it doesn't initiate the game. I suppose there is some type of 'protection' at work here. Does anyone know what the secret is?

If it works, don't fix it.

nowaday i haven't been able to just copy the files and folder to the hd then burn a sepperate cd, but what works sometimes is make an image of the cd and mount it with daemon tools.
