Hi,
i've tried to load two AVI files into PVS9 with the intention to merge them and ctreate an SVCD. the original version of the avis is probably a dvd. the size of the avis are ~800 Mb (does it even matter?).
the PVS9 provided an error message instead of loading. theoretically it should work - am i right?
thx

Studio 9 uses type 2 avi. If you're trying to load type 1 avi's, then no they won't work. Both Canopus and Ulead make a free file converter that will convert type 1 avi to type 2 avi. Try going to their web sites and download one or both.
If the original version is on a DVD and you can play them on a DVD player, their not in avi format, but mpeg2 format. Unless of course their stored on a DVD in avi format as data storage.Geronimo
