  2. If you click on those buttons in edit mode you can change them to another jpg. There are freeware programs that let you make your own buttons fairly easily. I think one is called Buttonz and Tilez.

Thanks presto, i'll try that. Never seen the "edit mode" in TDA, but i'll look for it. Right now I'm creating dvd's with tv programing ie "frasier" and "chapter menu" does not cut it. It should be "episode menu". Also not sure what file type the buttons should be to make those layers. -garman

  4. unless you have a pretty old version there is an edit menu theme button to the upper left when looking at the menu window.

Now that I look at it you don't even have to go into edit menu theme to change the button. Just click on the button you want to change.

Also not sure what file type the buttons should be to make those layers.
I'm not sure what you mean. If you are asking what type of file the buttons should be, jpg or bmp work fine.

Sorry I'm at work, don't remembet what ver. of TDA I have.
Now about "File type" or "layers" this is about buttons. I use photoshop to create buttons. My problem would be.... here's an example. I want to make a black round button. Now if use the bmp or jpg format, how do i hide the white areas around the buttons. Once I lay the buttons on top of the background photo will you not see a white square box with a round black button in the center of the box. If the white areas around the round buttons can be made invisible, then great Anyway I hope this discription is not to cryptic.-garman

  6. oh, you're getting much fancier than I do. I just make a rectangular button. Or I make part of the button the same color that I choose for the background.

Unless the background has a solid colour (color) like red or black etc... that's just fine. If you have photos or blended colours than it becomes a problem. -garman
