    good day, fellow encoders,

    I have a quick question,

I have a movie that does not have subtitles and I want to make them for this movie.
is there a program that will let me just input the start time, duration and the caption I want and it then does the rest? without learning all the little / and n 's and such?

is there a program that is that easy to use to make subtitles and that has a guide for it?

    thanks for any help,
    sincerely,

If it is a commercial movie, there are probably subtitles already available on the 'Net. Also, it depends on what sort of subtitles you want, and the format of your final version (DVD, AVI, selectable, etc.).
