The reason I ask this question is that I am at work right now on a Japanese ver. OS, but my friend is at home with his English ver. of XP. He wants to use Japanese characters, for internet searches, word and so on. Anyway, it's been a while since I did it, but just so that I don't have to wait until tonight (When I get home to my English XP) Can anyone tell me, is the IME program already installed in XP...just go to regional settings/???/??? and then select a new language (Maybe asking for the windows CD) Or do you have to download it!?

You go into the Control Panel and click on the keyboard properties. In there you can add languages. It adds that little toolbar at the bottom that you click to change languages.
His name was MackemX
