Hi all! Ok...so on the advice of all of the other posts I reckon that I have converted my .rar files to .avi (using unrarx) .avi file to SVCD using FFMPEGX (Fast SVCD) ...seems to be working great...ok here's the question:

    FFMPEGX gave me 4 files; Mine1.mpg, Mine2.mpg, Mine.mp2 and Mine.mpv

    Now What?
I would like to be able to put together a DVD with several of my movies (these files above being one of the movies out of 3), then make a nice little menu and voila into the DVD player!

Which files (out of the 4) do I give DVD studio pro?
And while I'm on the subject did I go about doing all of this right?

Thanks in advance for the help!

hmmmmmmmmm .rar to .avi then to svcd?

ok, well thing is what happens when you watch the 4 files in something like video lan?

can you sit comfortably and enjoy them? Or do they look like a bad acid trip from the 70's where your hearing and vision is toally f-ed up?

if they are good, you could simply author them in Sizzle and save you the LOADS of headache in learning DVD Studio Pro for jsut one project

unless you already konw how to use dvd studio pro

basically its up to you waht you want to do....... and thats all up to if the files you got from ffmpegx play and look acceptable.

    make since?!

    Hi Galactica!

Thank you for answering my post! Well all the files look great in VLC, except the .mpv which looks the best but has no sound!

I do know about Dvd studio pro 3 pretty ok, so that wouldn't be a problem, but the issue is that none of the files will import into the assets in DVDSP (Mine1.mpg, Mine2.mpg, mine.mpv, and mine.mpv). Should they at this point? Or do I have to do something different to them before I try? It is of course possible that when I brought the original .avi into FFMPEGX that I did something wrong...I just brought it in and then pushed FastSVCD and then waited for a very long time....

...where do I go from here?
I would try sizzle, but I would like to have a really nice menu system!

    Thank you,
    Melanie
