  1. I use windows movie maker to get the video from my DV Camera i always set it to DV-AVI but when i get the video it is DV-AVI type 1 i want type 2 so i can use virtual dub so i've been using the DV Type 1 to DV Type 2 Converter.

Is there a way to just get type 2 from windows movie maker? Theres nother in settings about it. Using that DV Type 1 to DV Type 2 Converter messes up the audio at the end.

    Thanks

  2. I have done a little research into this and have discovered that WMM does not support DV AVI type II.

You will have to capture using another software type. I have been told that there is not a great deal of difference between the two in terms of quality.

I am currently testing out a few other editing softwares out there but am not ver far down the line. I will have a better ideaover the next few days.

Ther is NO difference in terms of quality, it is simply the way the audio and video streams are muxed.

You can capture to DV avi type 2 with DVIO or WinDV. Both freeware.
