    downloaded a film in dvd format the files are, vob, info and bup what is the best software to burn them with, I've got nero but can't get the plug in,
    only if I purchase it.

    convert to .iso (look in tools) then burn with dvddecrypter.

    You don't need any plug-in to burn DVD's with Nero. You do need a full retail version that recognises your drive or an OEM version if it was bundled with your DVD burner. If it was bundled with any other drive (CDRw) it probably won't recognises your DVD burner.

    Try Flans suggestion.

    the version I've got with nero express 2, when selecting the dvd section it says a dvd plug-in is required and gives u the link.


    I'll give t6he dvd decrypter a try .....thanks

  5. are you selecting dvd video? only way you need a plug end is if you are comverting it to dvd.

    followed the guide for burning the dvd, but having problems! burned the dvd in nero,but my dvd player stand alone will not read this. burned this with the settings in the guide and other settings still the sameded.

    could this be that the region is wrong for my player (pal) is there a way of finding this out, from the vob files etc, and if so how?

    when exploring the cd it has 2 file and the rest of the files are with the nero logo on? could this be causing the problem ? any idea's

    does the burned disc play in your pc? does your set top dvd player play written discs?

    just tried the disc in the pc no go, the dvd player is ok with cdr's so i asume that it will play dvds

    you said you followed "the guide", which one? creating an .iso uising magicISO and burning with DVDdecrypter is the process least likely to cause a problem (a lot of people have issues with nero)
