    Never heard of one.

Just a thought though , I f you had a Divx player and a DVD Recorder you could if you wanted record from the Divx player to a Blank disc in the DVD Recorder if you wanted. Creating a DVD Copy.

Everything in one box isn't always a good thing , it can limit what you can do with it.

  4. I've done the DivX player (DVP642 Philips) to Daytek DVR-P30 (really a Liteon 5001). It was just for testing purposes. It works out ok if you have a good quality DivX (or some Xvid).

Artec makes one and it's sold in the U.S. Look in the DVD recorder list.

    Hi,

Is the Samsung DVDR122 the same as the 120?

I am very interested in this but two things are holding me back,

One - a region free hack. Is there one available as googling has got me no where? But I read that someone got another old one working.

Two - does it play xvid? I ask as everywhere its advertised, they say MPEG4 DivX compatiable or make no mention of it at all. But some say you can assume that it plays xvid too.

On a side note, should divx and xvid improve/update, how hard is it to get a firmware upgrade for a brand like Samsung as Chinese brands like Yamada seem more readily available.

  13. The Cyberhome DVR1600 DVD Recorder with MU or ME in the model number plays DIVX. If it has ZU or ZE in the model number, it will not support DIVX.

    (M = MediaTek)
    (Z = Zoran Vaddis)
    (U = United States)
    (E = Europe)
