    Hello,
i created my svcd and can't seen to make it run using windows media player it says downloading codecs but after that it stops, i took my svcd to another pc and could not play it there either, however it plays on my standalone dvd and also plays after i installed windvd. I was wondering how to play svcd dat file in windows media player and what codecs i may need.
    thank you

  2. Basicly, you don't windows mediaplayer sucks at playing svcd's and dvd's

Stick to windvd or download vidoeland client.

  3. Hmm, dat files are in VCD, not SVCD. If it is real SVCD that means mpeg2 - so you need mpeg2 codec - BTW windvd will install such codec in your comp.
