you are wanting to do a picture in picture...if you are still searching for "how to's"

Adobe premiere is the easiest I think...but expensive if you don't already have it.

    Simply....in adobe...
Put background in video 1, the video to appear smaller in the corner in video track 2
apply the transform filter, adjust size and position to where you want it
apply the clip or crop (clip I think, always get those 2 confused) ANY way, select your fill color to pure blue (red = 0, green = 0, blue = 255) and move the edges into the edges of your smaller video picture.
Now go to the transparency settings, select "blue screen" and away you go.

Pinnacle Studio 8 will also do it but you have to be fairly familiar with S8 and I certainly do not endorse it.

It is not as easy in S8, as S8 is a linear video editing software. But it can be done with motion tumbnails and it looks alright. As I said, I prefer adobe, it's easier and IMO looks better and is a hell of a lot easier to change if you want to adjust anything.

You are looking for a "Non-linear" video editing software and you are wanting to do a picture in picture.

AviSynth is the cheapest. Check out the guide on this site to do it. You will probably need Virtual Dub too.
    Hello.

  4. A really good idea, if you want the slide show with screen to look really classy, is to create a movie in Flash and import the mpegs to play on the screen, then send the entire thing to an AVI file, which can then be converted to a DVD compliant stream.
